I mostly agree with what you say. There is a lot of overhead to go through the data flow in order to only navigate from a simple click and that’s the only reason I have. Basically, if there is no side-effect, I don’t mind navigating on the spot. Otherwise it would be better handled in the ViewModel, yes.
